Wikipedia Extensions

Wikipedia is so central to everyone's experience of the internet that I thought I'd show a few projects that extend how we can interact with it.

Wikipedia Animate is a Firefox extension that lets you "play" the history of an article like you play a video. Martin Wattenberg's History Flow visualizes article histories in an almost geological way, while Virgil Griffith's WikiScanner lets users see what organizations are editing which articles.

I recently submitted a proposal for a project called Ambiance that would create an ambient soundscape for Wikipedia. I think it needs some work and some collaboration to come to fruition. Let me know what you think.
